Magazine Profile
ADAQ News is a glossy, full colour magazine, distributed monthly as a membership service to approximately 2,000 ADAQ members, both in the private and public sectors. ADAQ members comprise over 90% of dentists registered to practise in Queensland.
The magazine enables ADAQ Council, committees and administration to communicate with and broadcast information concerning dentistry and general health to all members and their staff.
ADAQ News editorial content consists of information on dentistry and health related issues of interest to dentists and their staff. The magazine regularly features articles from such organisations as the University of Queensland Dental School and the Queensland Oral Health Department, along with information regarding legal, financial and industrial relations matters.
Advertising Policy
Advertisements are accepted subject to the approval of the Editor and/or the Editorial Board of ADAQ, and contractual conditions (where applicable).
Acceptance of any advertisement for publication does not indicate endorsement or approval by ADAQ. ADAQ may require substantiation of any claims made in the advertisement. ADAQ reserves the right to require any alteration of any copy, or to refuse advertisements without reason.
Copy Closing Date
Closing date is the 12th day of the prior month (or the nearest working day before).
Advertisements received after the copy closing date will not be published until the following issue.
Publication of the magazine occurs in the first week of each month (February to December).
Advertisers are advised to book space as early as possible, as space may be filled before the copy closing date.
Advertising Rates
Fees for advertising are due and payable within 30 days of the date the invoice is issued.
Full Colour Advertisements (GST inclusive)
Full page $1,320.00
Half page $825.00
Quarter page $412.50
1/8 page $209.00
There is a 20% surcharge for back cover and centrefold advertisements.
Advertisements are to be supplied as camera-ready art - digital, bromide or laser copy. The terms 'half page', 'quarter page' and '1/8 page' are given as a guide only.
Classifieds (GST inclusive)
$110.00 (4.7cm x 3.5cm in depth - 10 lines)
Classifieds exceeding 10 lines will cost an extra $5.50 (GST inclusive) per line. The text for classified advertisements is point size 9.5. Typed advertisements only are accepted, and must include a billing name and address. E-mailed advertisements are preferred.
Pre-printed Loose-leaf Inserts (GST inclusive)
A loose-leaf A4 sheet, printed and supplied by the advertiser, may be included at a price of $605.00 and 1,950 printed copies are required for each issue. Additional inserts supplied by the same advertiser for the same edition may be included for $495.00. Prices are GST inclusive.
Mechanical Requirements
ADAQ News is printed in full colour (CMYK) on white 150 gsm Media Gloss paper. Line screen 200.
Binding - saddle stitched and drilled 2 holes.
Printing - offset process.

When supplying files for advertisements, please also observe the following:
Supply the original native file.
Supply all linked or embedded images or graphics.
Supply all used fonts. NO Truetype fonts. ONLY Type 1 fonts accepted.
Please ensure all images and graphics are CMYK.
Please also supply hard copy of artwork.
Discounts
ADAQ members will receive a 10% discount on all advertising (including classifieds).
When 10 or more advertisements are published in an 11-month period, 1 free equivalent advertisement will be granted to the advertiser.
Officially recognised affiliated groups advertising for education programs will receive a 10% discount on the published rates for advertisements (excluding classifieds).
The placement of free advertisements will be at the discretion of the Editor.
Subscription
ADAQ News magazine subscription is included as a component of the ADAQ membership fee. Members of other branches of the Australian Dental Association may subscribe annually to the magazine at a cost of $88.00.
