Dental Assistants Education Council of Australia Inc (DAECA)

The Dental Assistants Education Council of Australia Inc. was established in 1990. Known as DAECA, its mission is to set a standard for dental assistant training throughout Australia.

The objectives of the Council are:

1. To set a standard for Dental Assistant training courses throughout Australia and to encourage excellence in Dental Assisting.
2. To establish a register of courses for Dental Assistants which DAECA recognises.
3. To maintain a register of persons who have fulfilled the requirements of DAECA and to issue Certificates and badges to successful candidates.
4. To set a standard for Dental Assistants in Australia
5. To advise upon, promote and assess training courses for Dental Assistants in all parts of Australia as the need arises.
6. To encourage the use of trained personnel by dentists.
7. To facilitate the interchange of ideas and knowledge about training programmes for Dental Assistants.
8. To do such other lawful things as are, in the opinion of DAECA, incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
