The Australian Dental Association is launching a Mouthguard Awareness Campaign in April 2006 to coincide with the winter sports season. Serious injuries to the teeth and mouth are an ever-present risk during contact sports. The ADA, with the support of sporting associations, is campaigning to remind parents and coaches of the importance of properly fitted, custom made mouthguards in the protection against injuries to the teeth and mouth.
