Registered Dental Practitioners and Practice Owners have a duty of care to ensure the dental team works in a safe environment and risks posed from vaccine preventable diseases, allergies, and any exposure to health risks are appropriately managed, and outcomes documented. The ADA Infection Control Committee (ICC) has produced updated guidance, including forms and templates, that members can use to establish an employee health record program that encompasses employee immunisation and allergy assessment, management of employees that are non-immune or have an allergy, and management of employees that are, or have possibly been, exposed to an infectious agent (including blood and body fluid exposures). This webinar presents the latest resources that has been developed by the ADA ICC to assist members in ensuring dental practices meet their Work Health Safety and Infection Prevention Control obligations to protect staff from common vaccine preventable diseases, and that allergies and exposure incidences are managed appropriately in the work place.
