DB Dental, Perth City (National Dental Care) held their first Dental Rescue Day recently, treating 12 patients referred from four different charities.

In addition, they adopted a number of patients treated on the day, including one from the Rebuilding Smiles program, which will allow these people to receive more complex dental care over a longer period of time.

Speaking about the successful event, practice manager Caroline McCutcheon had this to say.

“It was our absolute pleasure, our team were all so delighted to assist, all team members were really engaged with every patient and ensured all patients felt very welcome and very comfortable during their appointment.”

I would describe this as one of the most rewarding days as Practice manager, I ensured to welcome each patient and spend time with them, and it really was quite moving for all of us.

“We are very fortunate to have a very caring team at Perth City and I am so proud of them all, we have an understanding of what this means to our patients.”

“All the patients were so appreciative after their treatment with the dentists, as discussed earlier the dentists invited patients back to finish particular treatments.”

Staff from the practice who were involved on the day were:

Volunteer dentists: Drs John Graham, Laura Hall and Zara Torre.

Volunteer Oral Health Therapist:  Beenash Saiyed

Practice Manager: Caroline

Andrea Paterson, the ADHF State Coordinator for WA, was also in attendance and we’d like to extend our thanks to her for making the day happen.
