This two-day hands-on course is designed for clinicians who would like to learn and incorporate soft tissue management into their daily practice. Basic surgical skills are a prerequisite to the course.
The didactic component begins this course with a review on periodontal anatomy, fundamentals of wound healing and different types of soft tissue defects. In addition, this course will provide techniques to harvest grafts for different indications, alternatives to autogenous grafts and advanced techniques and indications for soft tissue grafting around implants.
During the hands-on component of this course, participants will immediately benefit from the opportunity to practice these new techniques directly on pig jaws in a clinical setting and engage in discussions during the Q&A and break sessions.
