Welcome to 2026. I hope you and your teams all had a happy, safe and restful Christmas and New Year break, and wishing you all a happy and fulfilling year ahead. I am excited to see what 2026 brings for ADATas. With a new year comes new challenges and new opportunities. ADATas will continue to work to deliver high quality services, support and professional development to our members. We remain committed to advocating on your behalf and ensuring our work reflects the evolving needs of the profession.

The Australian Dental Council (ADC) and Dental Council (New Zealand) (DC(NZ)) are reviewing the Accreditation Standards for dental practitioner programs. The aim is to ensure the Standards remain current and fit for purpose. After consulting with experts and stakeholders, the ADC and DC(NZ) drafted proposed revisions.
The ADC and DC(NZ) now invite dental practitioners, health professionals, community members, and anyone interested in dental education to share feedback on these changes.
