Promoting the close links between oral health and overall wellbeing, this year’s event is coming up fast and we have three great ways for you to make the most of it!

In just under a month, Dental Health Week, the ADA’s annual flagship oral health promotion event will be underway, and everyone is encouraged to take part in promoting the message about the close links between oral health and overall wellbeing by doing three fun but highly effective things:

1. Check out all the resources

Our extensive range of resources at Dental Health Week make it easy to promote the event in your practice or out in the community! To begin with, display the campaign poster in your practice. You can either print your own copy or use the printed one that was sent out to all members with the July 2023 issue of the ADA’s News Bulletin. You can also choose from bunting and colouring-in sheet for the kids, , pull-up banners and even t-shirt designs. It’s all there and it’s all ready to go and all you need to do is print them and get handy with sticking them up and making a visual splash this Dental Health Week!

2. Plan a great event!

It’s a great time to shout the message of good oral health from the rooftops (figurative, not actual)! Get out into your community in whatever form works for you – schools, libraries and mums’ groups are all great places to stage an event – and use the event slides pack to really make a presentational impact. Or decorate your practice with the poster, bunting etc and have some fun with your patients! Big or small, with lots of the work done for you, you just need to come up with snappy, attention-holding ways to keep your audience engaged and stage a fantastic event.

3. Share on social media

Over in the digital space, we have a range of ready-to-go social posts that simply need to be downloaded and posted on the platform/s of your choice. They’re bright with great messaging and highly impactful and will generate all kinds of interest for your pages. In the lead-up to the event itself, we’ll be posting about Dental Health Week on Teeth.org.au’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, which you can then share easily on your own platforms.

As always, if you have any questions at all, get in touch with us at contact@ada.org.au and get ready to show the world why good oral health means great health everywhere else!
