Adelaide Dental School is seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate dental practitioners to contribute to the delivery of our Bachelor of Dental Surgery program. Requirements

To be successful, you should:

  • have a current full Dental Board of Australia registration as a dentist, current professional indemnity insurance, and be willing to undertake health and security screening as required
  • have current active clinical experience in dentistry
  • be enthusiastic, dedicated and willing to contribute to the education process
  • Provide objective and consistent feedback (written and verbal) of students' performance
  • during sessions and provide final end-of-semester assessment reports
  • be up to date with current principles of dental theory and practice


Engagement as a Rural Clinical Dental Educator will be based upon successful Department for Communities and Social Inclusion clearance and credentialing with SA Dental. The tutoring sessions will be on casual basis with vacancies being advertised to contracted tutors at the school. Flights and accommodation are covered by the faculty as well as meal and transport allowance during your stay. The pay rate for each clinic session is at the Dental Tutorial Grade C for rural sessions and Dental Tutorial A for metro sessions as set out in the Enterprise Agreement (schedule-2-academic- staff-casual-salaries.pdf (adelaide.edu.au)).
