Meet Stevie

While Stevie loved her previous career as a baker, it wasn’t family-friendly with the hours not suitable for the mother of an active young boy. She felt that dental assisting could give her working options that her old career couldn’t, and she’s “very, very glad” she made the switch. 

From her first day on the job, where the dentist at the practice was helpful and made her feel welcome, Stevie’s found everyone, from the practice team through to her “brilliant” teacher, to be patient, friendly and understanding. Being able to help people is a deeply rewarding part of the job and she looks forward to coming to work each day to see what kind of difference she can make to the practice’s patients. 

Stevie appreciates that she’s able to get out, do some good and also keep being a good mother; it’s the perfect mix and she’s grateful for what dental assisting is continuing to offer her.
