Suturing is an important aspect of any dental surgical procedure where there is either cutting or injury to the soft tissue in the oral cavity. Proper placement of sutures can help in faster and proper healing of the tissues involved. It is very important that the selection of the correct type of suturing technique and suture material is used. This course will cover: • Practical Aspects in principles of oral surgery including: •Armamentarium • Tissue Handling • Suturing - different type of suturing techniques - Choosing the correct suture Learning objectives: • To appreciate the need for appropriate soft tissue handling • To be able to suture using various techniques. This course will be conducted using pig jaws.
