A key part of the ADA's strategy during this year's event was to ensure its message about paediatric oral health reached as many people as possible with ADA spokespeople appearing on a range of high profile media platforms.

During Dental Health Week, held this year from Monday 4 to Sunday 10 August, we set out to educate parents, guardians and carers across Australia about how they can help their kids to “reach every S-milestone", taking them on a journey from birth through to first teeth and beyond.

There was also an emphasis on promoting the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, which provides care for children aged 0-17 years who are eligible for Medicare and whose parents/carer/guardian receive an eligible payment from the federal government, and Teeth.org.au, an ADA-created and peer-reviewed site offering practical oral healthcare information across a broad range of topics.
