The updated Therapeutic Guidelines: Oral and Dental Version 4 is available to ADA members as both a digital subscription and a printed book.
The digital subscription is available from November 2025. Members will receive an email soon with their subscription details and support to get the most out of the new digital access. The digital TG is an excellent resource, easy to use on any device, and once downloaded it can be accessed offline - anywhere, anytime.

The Therapeutic Guidelines V4 book, commonly referred to as ‘the Clown book’, is currently in print production, and will be available from around March 2026.
Note this is the last time the Therapeutic Guidelines will support a print edition. The Therapeutic Guidelines has been a digital product for 9 years now, and Dentistry is the only profession still using a printed book. As scientific evidence-based therapeutic guidelines, their greatest value is being kept up to date – whilst convenient, the book becomes out of date the day it is typeset.
ADA’s Dental Therapeutics Committee has worked tirelessly to assist with the Version 4 update of the Therapeutic Guidelines: Oral and Dental. It provides essential guidance in your day-to-day clinical practice.
