1. TOP 10 TMD SECRETS REVEALED
Synopsis
Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) is a collective term for a group of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions which includes several clinical signs and symptoms involving the muscles of mastication, the temporomandibular joints, and associated structures. It is a field of dentistry riddled with various philosophies regarding its aetiology, diagnosis and treatment. However, there is now good scientific evidence on TMDs with guidelines on clinical practice. This lecture will reveal the Top 10 secrets on TMDs for consistent clinical success even with the most challenging cases.

2. TOOTH WEAR AND FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION WITH DIRECT COMPOSITES
Synopsis
The rehabilitation of worn dentition represents a complex and demanding task for the dental practitioner, and routinely involves porcelain onlays or full crowns. However, in recent years the application of direct composite resins has been discussed more often, and it is an encouraging potential alternative for this purpose. As many clinicians claimed for simplification in restoring the tooth wear with direct composites, the new techniques were introduced utilising the transparent index fabricated based on the laboratory wax up. In this hands-on practical course, the author will concentrate on complex tooth wear and its rehabilitation in more economical and faster ways using direct composite resin dentistry without any preparation of the tooth structure.

3. SLEEP BRUXISM IN CHILDREN: FROM AETIOLOGY TO MANAGEMENT
Synopsis
Bruxism is an oral condition that is gaining attention from several dental and medical communities. Over the past decade, an expert panel worked to provide a consensus definition of bruxism as an umbrella term to indicate a broad spectrum of jaw muscles activities, with or without tooth contact, which may happen during sleep or wakefulness, and to prepare standardised multidimensional evaluation tools. As such, the parental report of children’s tooth grinding during sleep should be evaluated according to the current knowledge on aetiology.
