Course Information

Most dentists have stood at the chair knowing that a large direct composite is a challenging solution - in both delivery and long-term performance. The heavily broken-down posterior tooth is a clinical reality: getting a matrix band on, achieving a good seal, and building reliable contacts in composite can feel like a battle against the tooth itself. The better solution is usually indirect - but for many patients, the full ceramic option may be out of reach. So how reliable are the alternatives?   In this full-day hands-on workshop, Dr Andrea Shepperson guides delegates through a direct comparison of two indirect materials: the gold standard IPS e.max and an industrially manufactured Tetric CAD composite block.   Preparing onlays, finishing and sintering e.max and fitting and cementing a milled Tetric CAD onlay,  participants will leave with a clear, evidence-informed framework for choosing the right indirect material for the right patient.
