The Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF) is pleased to announce that applications for the 2025-26 research grants are now open. This year’s round will run from 24 March 2025 until 9 May 2025 (5:00 PM AEST) and will continue to support high-impact research that enhances oral healthcare, reduces health disparities, and strengthens the integration of oral health within broader healthcare frameworks.
For 2025-26, ADRF is offering two distinct research funding opportunities:
• ADRF Collaborative Research Grant
Four grants of $50,000 each, supporting large-scale interdisciplinary research projects tackling significant oral health challenges.
• Oral Health Promotion Research Grant (ADA)
A $15,000 grant provided by the Australian Dental Health Foundation (ADHF) to support research in oral health promotion and preventive strategies.
Eligibility and application details
• Duration: 12 months
• Eligibility: Open to senior researchers (Chief Investigators) with experience in interdisciplinary research.
• Key requirements:
- Strong governance structure and defined project roles.
- Collaboration between universities, research institutions, and healthcare services.
- Research with the potential to shape national and international oral healthcare policies.
- Projects that may serve as pilot studies for securing larger grants (e.g., ARC, MRFF, or industry partnerships).
Successful applicants will work closely with ADRF and the ADA to promote research outcomes and enhance the translation of findings into practice.
