Course Information

day 1 course overview Attendees will review the Dental Board of Australia’s Guidelines for Scope of Practice in relation to Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgery. Attendees will be provided updates on aspects of medical history and patient management relevant to Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgery. Attendees will review dental anatomy relevant to Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgery. Attendees will carry out several practical exercises utilising models focusing on safe use of hand and rotary instruments in carrying out Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgery. day 2 course overview Attendees will be provided instruction on case selection for Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgery for the General Dental Practitioner. Attendees will carry out several practical exercises utilising models focusing on removal of multi rooted teeth. Attendees will be provided updates on medical management of patients for Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgery Attendees will be provided instruction on suturing and carry out practical exercises using models and animal specimens to consolidate skills in suture placement and tying.
