FDI officially handovers over FDI World Dental Congress 2023 to ADA
- Congress
The official handover to the Australian Dental Association (ADA) for the first in-person FDI World Dental Congress (WDC) since 2019, took place in Geneva on 24 September at the FDI World Dental Federation Parliament, signaling an exciting year-long journey to the 2023 event which will run from Sunday 24th to Wednesday 27th September in Sydney, Australia.
To be staged at the International Convention Centre Sydney in the heart of Australia's harbour city, FDI WDC 2023, will bring the global dental community together to share ideas, knowledge, and experiences at the first in-person WDC since San Francisco in 2019.
While preparations have been underway for some time behind the scenes, the formal handover of the world’s premier event to the ADA Congress team which included Chair Scientific Programme Division Dr Hugo Sachs, ADA Vice-President Dr Stephen Liew and Congress Chair Dr Shane Fryer (pictured below L-R), signals the official commencement of event proceedings.
This includes, most notably, the immediate opening of pre-programme delegate registration for the FDI World Dental Congress 2023 which is now available for everyone looking to attend this landmark event.
While the programme is yet to be finalised, it will offer over 200 sessions in the main programme over four days on topics such as the significance of radiographic incidental findings and the use of cone beam CT imaging in endodontic diagnosis and treatment, with the potential for in excess of 160 hours of CPD learning, with more available throughout associated workshops etc.
FDI WDC 2023 will also offer great networking opportunities and an expansive exhibition that runs for the full four days, showcasing the latest technological advances and leading-edge services in dentistry, marking Congress as the must-attend event of 2023.
