For this year's event, the ADA has partnered with Colgate-Palmolive to equip members with young adult toothbrush and toothpaste resources in oral health kits and Bright Smiles, Bright Futures oral health education kits.

Get The Most From Your Dental Health Week Community Project

This year, the ADA’s annual oral health promotion flagship event, Dental Health Week (DHW), which runs from Monday 3 to Sunday 9 August, is encouraging very busy 18-25-year-olds not to let good oral health and regular visits be forgotten.

The event will be promoting the importance of regular dental visits and the importance of good oral health routines to a key demographic.

To help ADA members get the most impact from your DHW initiatives, promotional efforts and associated projects across Australia, the ADA has partnered with Colgate-Palmolive to equip members with toothbrush and toothpaste resources in young adult dental health week kits and Bright Smiles, Bright Futures oral health education kits. 

Applications open 11 May.

Resources available include: 

1. Bright Smiles, Bright Futures (BSBF) Smile Kits.
 
One of 120 Smile kits for children aged 3-9 years old. Kits include:

• 30x children’s toothbrushes

• 30x children’s toothpastes (20g) 

• 30x 28-day brushing chart to track progress

• 30x brushing guide & healthy eating information

• 30x 5 ‘Adventure in Molar System’ Character Stickers and online access to an array of digital materials. 

2. Young Adult Dental Health Week Kits.

One of 40 packs containing for young adults aged 18-25 years old. Kits will include:

• 72 Adult Ultra Soft toothbrushes 

• 72 Adult MaxFresh Watermelon Blast toothpastes72 ‘adult’ toothpastes (100g)

Only one application is allowed per dental practice and per ADA member. To be eligible to win, projects should assist in improving young adults or paediatric oral health knowledge, with particular emphasis on the importance of the regular dental visits and preventative care.

Applications open Monday 11 May 2026 and close 12:00am (midnight) AEST Sunday 31 May June 2026.
