The ADA has announced that its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be Dr Kate More, commencing in her role on Tuesday 8th October.

The ADA has announced that its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be Dr Kate More, commencing in her role on Tuesday 8th October.

Kate brings to the ADA 18 years’ C Suite experience, 13 of which have been within complex member organisations including the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, National Disability Services and The Skin Hospital. Other key roles include Interim CEO of Message Stick Communications Pty Ltd., CEO of Changing Stories Worldwide Pty Ltd. and GM at Angus Knight, where she improved their financial performance, culture and strategic impact.

Selected from a field of outstanding candidates, Kate stood out for her understanding of the challenges facing the profession and the ADA, her commercial and stakeholder savvy and her ability to ensure a strong voice for the ADA, robust member engagement and a compelling member value proposition.

Kate’s experience in building strategy, leadership, culture and improved business processes all help enhance a future for the ADA that serves its members for the long term. Kate’s strategic mindset, expertise in member journeys, and a leadership style focused on culture, empowerment, diversity and performance, aligns her with the ADA’s mission and values.
 
Kate holds a Ph.D. in consumer behaviour, postgraduate qualifications in marketing, financial management, coaching, teaching and learning, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As a trained leadership success coach, Kate has spent more than five years working with boards, CEOs, executives and entrepreneurs to empower their capacity to secure success by developing a shared vision and empowering teams that are supported to achieve.
 
In announcing Dr More's appointment, ADA President gave thanks to Eithne Irving for serving as the Interim CEO for the last six months.
