Professional Conduct and Ethical Practice
This presentation is an in-depth analysis of the guiding principles of the updated DBA/AHPRA shared Code of Conduct, which underpins professional practice for all dental practitioners.
Professionalism embodies all the qualities of a dental professional as described in the DBA Code of Conduct and includes self-awareness and self-reflection.
Practitioners have a duty to keep their skills and knowledge up to date, refine and develop their clinical judgement as they gain experience, and to contribute to their profession.
Ethical practice is a quality that the DBA expects from all practitioners. Dental Practitioners are expected to act at all times in a manner that will uphold and enhance the integrity, dignity and reputation of the profession.
Breaches of the DBA Code of Conduct can result in conditions being placed on your registration, or suspension.
