World Hand Hygiene Day: SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands

A global initiative of the World Health Organization, the annual day on 5 May brings healthcare professionals together in support of hand hygiene improvement globally.
Launched by the World Health Organization in 2009, the SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands campaign is part of a major global effort to improve hand hygiene in healthcare.
The campaign incorporates a global annual day, World Hand Hygiene Day on 5 May each year, which focuses on "the importance of improving hand hygiene in health care with WHO providing support for these efforts".
ADA members can take advantage of a comprehensive range of resources in the Infection Control Library which includes a hand hygiene poster suite you can display at your practice or clinic, along with guidelines, manuals, practice guides and other materials.
