This year’s event attracted a huge amount of support from ADA members around the country who enthusiastically talked about what great Gen Z oral health looks like with their patients and community.

It’s always exciting to see how the themes of Dental Health Week resonate throughout the Australian community.

This year’s messaging, which placed the spotlight on the oral health of 18-to-25-year-olds with a particular focus on cosmetic dentistry, wisdom teeth and mouthguards saw significant uptake by members who displayed real thoughtfulness and creativity in the way they communicated the message to those in their community and to followers online.

Encouragingly, this involvement helps to combat one of the other key topics of Dental Health Week 2026 which explored how many Gen Z patients are getting their oral health information from social media influencers and other non-clinical sources. By taking such an active role in promoting where the right information can be found, and the importance of seeing a dentist regularly, practices and clinics were able to remind 18-to-25-year-olds that they need to get their advice and treatment from professional dental sources.

These efforts all helped to spark important conversations with patients and the wider community, and we'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has shared their photos and activities, including the support of ADA Branches across the country. Your passion and commitment are what make Dental Health Week such a powerful national campaign every year.
